Video 2 Project 3. Filmed by Jacob Gill. Edit someone else’s footage. Still apply pace, rhythm, timing, mood. It’s way tougher when you don’t know what the person was thinking when they filmed it. It forces you to think and look for meaning.

Video 2 Project 2 Cut 2.  Recut project to get a different feel.  Pacing. Timing. Emotion. Don’t shoot new footage. New music theme. Mostly unused footage. Slower pace. More reflective. Less energy.

Video 2 Project 2.  A number of shots of the same object/thing/whatever.  Achieve cinematic quality.  Depth of field, lighting, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, movement, visual interest blah blah blah.  This was done with sunlight through my apartment window. Carefully selecting the interior background in shade.  No backdrops or gobos.  Clean crisp visuals. Clean crisp music. Clean crisp edits. Clean crisp beer. No beers were hurt during the filming.  Just a few brain cells, maybe.

Video 2 Project 1.  One shot with motion.  Try to achieve a cinematic quality.  Lighting, depth of field and camera angle.  The shadows and the narrow depth of field make this work.  What’s not in crystal clear focus is in focus enough to convey meaning.  A high contrast scene made it a little tough.  Let a little of the highlights get blown out while some of the shadows retain detail.  The background music just happened to be on the radio.
